TRANSFORM is a collaborative course and open source online platform on innovation and (social) entrepreneurship for ecological and social sustainability. Our aim is to provide university educators globally with innovative teaching material on sustainability. We take departure in the “Accelerating Investment Readiness MOOC” (#AirMOOC) but extend its contents significantly.

We invite you to share your own material via the platform. Our vision is that educators openly share their course materials and get to use those of others in return in order to employ and jointly develop cutting edge contents. Get in touch!

In addition to building this platform, we will co-teach the course in regular intervals (see respective course page). The course offers students a unique opportunity for intercultural exchange, critical thinking, pro-active learning and co-creation. Throughout the course students will team up in groups across the participating universities to create service, product or process innovations that address a sustainability challenge (course project).

The course is suitable for advanced BA and MA students. After an introduction of the key concepts, students apply them to their own projects. Sessions alternate between content and application, allowing students to work on their projects regularly. The best student outputs will be featured on our TRANSFORM platform.

TRANSFORM provides five modules that focus on:

1. The complexity of sustainability challenges

2. Open and frugal innovation as a response

3. Strategy formation for most effective problem solving

4. Scaling sustainable solutions

5. Measuring social impact
